Pulitizer Prize Winners
The Pulitzer Prize for general non-fiction has been awarded to Lawrence Wright for his book "The Looming Tower: AlQaeda and the Road to 9/11." Gene Roberts and Hank Klibanoff won the Pulitzer for history for "The Race Beat: The Press, the Civil Rights Struggle and the Awakening of a Nation." Cormac McCarthy won for fiction for "The Road." Debby Applegate won for the biography "The Most Famous Man in America: The Biography of Henry Ward Beecher." David Lindsay-Abaaire won the drama prize for "Rabbit Hole." Ornette Coleman won the music prize for "Sound Grammar." NatashaTrethewey won the poetry prize for "Native Guard." Special citations were given to science fiction writer Ray Bradbury and tenor saxophonist John Coltrane.

Books and Brew
Join the Eastern Library System Board of Directors for a fun time on May 6, 2007, at Lazlo's at 192nd and West CenterRoad in Omaha at 1 pm to 5 pm. For $30 you will have your choice of an appetizer, main course, and dessert plus a glass of wine or a brew. There will also be a silent auction and a paperback book swap.
